We love movies as much as we love gadgets and to top it all, there’s nothing like one that’s filled with gadgets and technology from the future. Thats why we’re introducing the “Gadget Movie” section. We’ll be reviewing/blogging movies that revolve around gadgets and technology, both new and classics. So, bloggers and reviewers who’d like to participate and add their inputs are most welcome.
We’re starting this section with this month’s latest release Iron Man, starring Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark, a multi billionaire weapons manufacturer and a genius inventor. He lives in a mansion that’s powered by the latest state of the art artificial intelligence. Read the rest of this entry »

I remember the last time we went “Wow” when Belkin came out with the N1. It had set a trend for routers when it came to design. Here’s another leader in routers who took the same path. It’s none other than Linksys.
Introducing the all new designer Wireless routers from Linksys. The two new models are the Ultra RangePlus Wireless-N Broadband Router (WRT160N) and Ultra RangePlus Wireless-N Gigabit Broadband Router (WRT310N). It works as a wireless access point, which lets you connect to a wireless network. It still retains a 4 port full duplex 10/100 switch, or a gigabit wired ethernet, depending on the model and allows you to share a high speed connection on both your wired and wireless networks.
But the biggest feature of all is the Linkysis Easylink Advisor. Code named LELA, this advanced software now bundled with these routers watches over your network. Check out a sample after the jump Read the rest of this entry »

I recently came across an article on Steve Jobs called ” The trouble with Steve” in the Fortune magazine. It was a good read and gave me a lot of insights on how it is to work with Steve Jobs and what made Steve one of the most successful CEO’s in the business. Along with the article came this brilliant mosiac work by Tsevis Visual Design, where he uses all Apple products and icons from the MacOSX to create a portrait of Steve Jobs. Googling his work on the net led me to lot more interesting stuff created by the same artist. Do check them out at Flickr
For people out there who’d like to create mosaics of your own, here’s a software called MosaiX that’ll do just that and its fairly simple to use. Have fun!

LG recently launched its new LCD range at th London fashion week and I must say they’ve got the looks too. The range includes the flagship model LG6000 and Plasma PG6000. The LG6000 is HD ready with 1080p resolution cased in a slim form factor and features an unique red-coloured back. It also features a soft red pulsating glow formed from a round LED light orifice. The plasma PG6000 features a slim, frameless design, giving it that sophisticated look. Mark Levinson tuned in an invisible speaker system in place of ordinary speakers behind grills. It in corporates speaker actuators around the perimeter of the bezel offering a wider “sweet spot” by creating a virtual wall of sound. Check out the specs and more pics of these beauties right after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

The Atlas Kinetic Cell phone concept developed by Ricardo Baiso, could spark a whole new revolution in the powering phones. Ricardo’s concept uses kinetic energy similar to those used in watches to power this phone. Clad in aluminum and glass it not only uses an environmental friendly technology but also looks unique too. A central glass reveals the generator and the charging unit. We’re not sure of the features that’s loaded into the phone, but one thing’s for sure, you’ll never need to worry about batteries again. All you need to do is turn your phone a couple of times ( like the kinetic watches) and you’re ready to go. Check out more images after the jump

Just when we thought, that Sony Ericsson wasn’t capable of building a mega phone, beyond the P1i or the Walkman series, they’ve just unveiled the XPERIA X1. We’ve been doing a lot of digging info on this phone to get a bigger picture of the XPERIA X1 and what it’s capable of.
Let us take you through a tour and share its dazzles and features. The first thing you’d notice of the X1 is its 3 inch wide screen format touch screen at a resolution of 65K. The next big thing you’d notice is the arc sliding QWERTY keyboard that slides out horizontally. So far the keypad looks like a charm to use. But that’s not all. Keep reading to get a closer look and the specifications of the loaded X1 after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

After pictures of the N96 was leaked a couple of months ago, Nokia yesterday unveiled the Nokia N96, a multimedia computer. The N96 sports a slightly bigger 2.8″ screen compared to its predecessor the N95, and 16 gigabytes of inbuilt flash memory expandable to 24GB using a micro SD card. We predict it to hit the market by September 2008 with an estimated price tag of around 600 Euros in Europe.

Introducing the moldable mouse from the guys at Lite-On. This is the answer to all those who are having an uncomfortable experience with their mouses, with issues such as, left hand compatibility, too big or too small, buttons in weird locations and of course those suffering from the carpal tunnel syndrome.
This moldable mouse uses a lightweight clay covered with a nylon and polyurethane blend fabric. Once you’ve molded the mouse to your preference or fantasy, it retains the shape till you want to play with it again! The click buttons and touch sensitive track pad with built in radio frequency identification can be stuck on, based on your personal preference. This is what I call innovation, and for some, it’s an answer they’ve been looking for. And that’s probably why it’s won the Red Dot design. Wanna get you’re hands on one. We’ll let you know as soon as it gets into production
