Linksys

I remember the last time we went “Wow” when Belkin came out with the N1. It had set a trend for routers when it came to design. Here’s another leader in routers who took the same path. It’s none other than Linksys.

Introducing the all new designer Wireless routers from Linksys. The two new models are the Ultra RangePlus Wireless-N Broadband Router (WRT160N) and Ultra RangePlus Wireless-N Gigabit Broadband Router (WRT310N). It works as a wireless access point, which lets you connect to a wireless network. It still retains a 4 port full duplex 10/100 switch, or a gigabit wired ethernet, depending on the model and allows you to share a high speed connection on both your wired and wireless networks.

But the biggest feature of all is the Linkysis Easylink Advisor. Code named LELA, this advanced software now bundled with these routers watches over your network. Check out a sample after the jump Read the rest of this entry »

The next big thing you’d notice is the arc sliding QWERTY keyboard that slides out horizontally. So far the keypad looks like a charm to use. But that’s not all. Samsung SGH F490Samsung i900

Ever since the revolutionary iPhone ( as Steve Job says) dawned upon us, the other side( manufacturers) have been aggressively creating phones with similar features with more perks to gain a piece of the iPhone market share. And by features we mean everything to do with minimizing the clutter, in other words base their products one of iPhone’s biggest feature, the touch screen display. This is why we’re dedicating a whole series towards the war on touch screen displays.

Here we have Samsung’s latest, the SGH F490 and the i900. The F490 is a direct competitor to the LG viewty in terms of specifications and the i900 is targeted at the Business community built with Windows mobile 6.0. Nokia N82 I never saw this coming from Nokia, but they’ve done it and called it the N82 (not officially announced). It looks like a serious rival for Sony Ericsson’s K850i. Even though Sony’s always known to add more features than Nokia , the N82 seems to be loaded with a little more than what the K850i offers. We aren’t sure of the final list of features, but here’s the rumor list according to those at engadget. The N82, will supposedly feature a quad band GSM, HSDPA, WiFi, GPS, FM tuner, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm audio jack,a 2.4 inch QVGA display with auto rotating like in the iPhone, microSD expansion and of course a 5 megapixel camera, with Carl Zeiss lens and xenon flash. For those of you who are looking towards getting the K850i, wait and see what Nokia has to offer both in terms of features and competitive pricing. Brand loyalists, don’t bother.

Update: Here’s the final specs on the N82 which is now officially released…. Read the rest of this entry »

              Neosonik controller

Wireless is the word these days. Eventually everything around us will be wireless and hopefully even power too! Won’t that be cool. The home theatre system has always been at the center of our entertainment system and we’d like to show off by calling friends home and blasting that system to make them feel they’re part of the movie. But the ugly part of an home theatre system is the wires that come along with it. Unless you conceal them or cleverly hide them, it’s gonna look like one of those server rooms. Currently there are systems with wireless rear speakers and even the front speakers have gone wireless. But here’s a system that’s completely wireless and I mean both audio and video… Read the rest of this entry »
