Behold the new smartphone from Sony Ericsson, a.k.a Paris, also known as the Sony Ericsson P5i. It looks closer to reality and seems to be directly targeted at Nokia’s N96 or its successor. We don’t have the complete spec list, but here’s the highlights, AGPS, working alongside Google maps. a 5 megapixel camera under a sliding lens cover. Wireless features are enabled by 802.11 B/G WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 and HSDPA( wireless internet). The QWERTY keyboard features a series of multifunction keys, as in special keys for other applications. Local data transfers are made possible through USB 2.0, which probably would charge it too! Check out the video for an up close look after the jump while we dig for more updates. Kinetic phones - runs only on movement
Post by gadgetD | Filed under Innovation, Design, Mobile phones 1 Comment »
The Atlas Kinetic Cell phone concept developed by Ricardo Baiso, could spark a whole new revolution in the powering phones. Ricardo’s concept uses kinetic energy similar to those used in watches to power this phone. Clad in aluminum and glass it not only uses an environmental friendly technology but also looks unique too. A central glass reveals the generator and the charging unit. We’re not sure of the features that’s loaded into the phone, but one thing’s for sure, you’ll never need to worry about batteries again. All you need to do is turn your phone a couple of times ( like the kinetic watches) and you’re ready to go. Check out more images after the jump

Nokia has joined the bandwagon against iPhone and looks like Nokia’s version is gonna be launched soon. Sources from T3 expect this iPhone killer to be announced at the World Mobile Congress in couple of weeks. Most of us are expecting Nokia to load it with faster HSDPA, better camera, Symbian 60 software and of course all the basic touch features and elegant user experience of the iPhone that made it worth pursuing. Now whether this is an ethical move from Nokia still remains a question. Why don’t you let us know what you feel about it? Ever since the revolutionary iPhone ( as Steve Job says) dawned upon us, the other side( manufacturers) have been aggressively creating phones with similar features with more perks to gain a piece of the iPhone market share. And by features we mean everything to do with minimizing the clutter, in other words base their products one of iPhone’s biggest feature, the touch screen display. This is why we’re dedicating a whole series towards the war on touch screen displays.
Here we have Samsung’s latest, the SGH F490 and the i900. The F490 is a direct competitor to the LG viewty in terms of specifications and the i900 is targeted at the Business community built with Windows mobile 6.0. Is this the real PSP phone?
Post by kv006 | Filed under Design, Mobile phones, News, Gaming 2 Comments »This isn’t the first time we thought it was real deal.We had another article on the same subject last year. Sources from Sony Ericsson have denied development of a PSP Phone, but the rumour never seems to die. A few days back I came across another life like image of the Sony Ericsson PSP Phone, which looks quite plausible in a Stuff magazine and I must say I am impressed.
I’m sure most of you would like to see something like this in reality, but who knows. This could be the work of a 3D professional. Let’s hope for the best and till then let’s keep our spirits high with such gorgeous images!
Well I’m not sure if this is real deal, but sources at Gizmodo revealed these Nokia N96 spy shots a few days ago. Since the N96 is an upgraded version of the N95, we can expect most features to be present in this one too, including the 5 megapixel camera and Carl Zeiss Optics. The next question is what’s new in the N96? Let’s hope they’ve taken care of all the flaws in the N95, including battery life and who knows a larger hard drive! What’s for sure is the all new black gloss finish with metal sides and from the pictures, it seems the N96’s bit slimmer than its predecessor. So watch this space… you’ll get more updates on the N96 when we get them. Do check out the other pics Read the rest of this entry »
