Ever since the revolutionary iPhone ( as Steve Job says) dawned upon us, the other side( manufacturers) have been aggressively creating phones with similar features with more perks to gain a piece of the iPhone market share. And by features we mean everything to do with minimizing the clutter, in other words base their products one of iPhone’s biggest feature, the touch screen display. This is why we’re dedicating a whole series towards the war on touch screen displays.
Here we have Samsung’s latest, the SGH F490 and the i900. The F490 is a direct competitor to the LG viewty in terms of specifications and the i900 is targeted at the Business community built with Windows mobile 6.0. Read more to see what else they have other than the appealing touch screen display.
Samsung SGH F490
Samsung has recently launched the SGH F490 . It’s expected to reach the Europe market next month. We still don’t have updates on the touch screen usability, but watch this space for reviews. Meanwhile here’s the specifications/features:

Samsung SGH i900
Here’s another one from Samsung that’s meant for the Windows users or in other words business community who relies on their Windows related software. It’s got most features of the F490 but even more. It’s got WiFi and HSDPA with 7.2 mbps support and GPS too. Here’s the highlights on the Samsung i900 specs.
