Behold the ultimate network music system, Logitech has ever developed. I’ve been looking for the successor of the Wireless DJ system, Logitech brought out a few years back and I’m sure this is one I want to take home. So let me tell you what the hype is all about! With the Logitech Squeeze box Duet displayed above, you can play songs stored on your computer, on your music system wirelessly and also tune into thousands of internet radio stations and play your favourite tunes on your music system, using your current home’s WiFi connection. This way you can stash all your tunes in your computer sitting in one room and play any tune on any music system in any room of your house via a user friendly remote with a 2.4 inch LCD screen. Keep reading to find out why Logitech’s Squeezebox is the next big thing! Most of you are probably aware of how fantastic the network system is, but with the Squeezebox Duet, Logitech has taken music networking to the next level. Here’s how.
The Controller
Logitech have certainly raised the bars on the user friendliness with this controller. They’ve included 2.4 inch colour display with decent menus, a familiar scroll wheel and intuitive buttons making navigation a lot easier. You can also browse and play from internet radio stations or connect to online services such as Pandora and Rhapsody, which means you can still listen to your favorite tunes, even if you dont have them in your collection.
The receiver
This is what connects your computer and the music system. Connect the squeezebox receiver to your music system or HiFi and enjoy music to the Max(as much as your system can handle). The squeezebox comes with both composite and digital outputs and an Ethernet port. It’s also equipped with 802.11g wireless technology that lets you connect it to your current WiFi connection and even connect additional receivers. This way you could listen to a different tune in each room, or synchronize them to listen to the same track everywhere.
A complete set with one receiver and controller is priced at 400$ and additional receivers are priced at 150$. So what you waiting for. Get the Squeezebox and spread the music everywhere!
