Introducing Sony’s new Drive OLED TV. Its 3mm thin and boasts a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. The 11-inch SonyDrive XEL-1 features a 960 x 540 pixel resolution, terrestrial digital tuner, two 1W speakers, HDMI v1.3, USB, and Ethernet jacks in a package measuring 287 x 140 x 253-mm and only weighing 2-kgs. The next big question is “How much?” Its estimated to be around $1,740, that’s about $160 per inch of OLED. Ouch! now that’s quite a bit for a state of the art OLED TV. But that’s the price you pay to own a first generation technology. It’s expected in the Japanese markets early this December. More pics after the jump.
