Logitech wants to take over your bedroom with the Logitech Pure-Fi Dream, premium bedroom music system for ipod. Thereby establishing a new category of ipod speakers for the bedroom. Hmm, so what’s it got that would want me to put it on my night-stand.

The Logitech Pure-Fi dream is a premium audio system with 3/4 inch high-defiinition soft dome tweeters and 3-inch high power, long throw woofers. You can enjoy a wider sound-field by activating Logitech’s Stereo XL. So, its an impressive ipod music system, so what? There are quite a good number of impressive ipod systems, like the ipod HiFi, jamo i300 and JBL sound-station etc.

What else does Pure-Fi Dream have? Jeff Holove of Logitech says,” the Pure-Fi Dream offers more than just great audio”. The Pure Hi-Fi Dream uses the latest motion-sensing technology. You can control it in a dark room by waving your hand over the top of the speaker and the backlighted control buttons automatically light up. They dim automatically once you’re done fiddling with the settings to your preference. Oh did I forget, this Pure-Fi Dream is also a clock radio. Here’s what got me smiling. Most of us use the snooze just to get a few more minutes before we hit the day! With the Pure-Fi Dream, all you need to do is wave over the Pure-Fi Dream and the snooze function is activated. Of course its also got a fairly large snooze button on the top of the speaker for those who still prefer to hit the button.

Logitech has also incorporated light sensors in the display of the system. This auto adjusting display brightens during the day and dim by night. The LCD screen displays track, song, artist information as well as the time! There are 24 separate presets available – six iPod playlists, six AM radio stations and 12 FM radio stations. The speakers also offer dual alarms, providing two settings – one for each partner. The alarm can be set to go off to an iPod track or playlist, radio station, or buzzer. And with a built-in back-up battery, there is no need to worry about missing the alarm.

For added convenience, with the included remote control, you can select your favorite iPod playlists, radio stations, control Volume, skip Forward and Back, Play, Pause, Shuffle or Repeat tracks, and Snooze the alarm from across the room. Like the speakers themselves, the remote control’s backlighted buttons make nighttime navigation easy.

Part of the “Made for iPod” program, the Pure-Fi Dream speakers present an attractive piano-black finish and minimalist design that complements the iPod aesthetic. When an iPod is docked in the system, the speaker charges the iPod.
