Technology Explored…

Tech toys!

Recently I stumbled up on a site that featured some really cool tech toys. They’ve got loads of these funky toys, some being weird though. But this would be one place I’d like to get gifts for my friends. Here are some of them that got my attention.

EZvision i-Theater

iTheatreIt’s like having you’re own theater whenever or wherever you desire. This pair of futuristic shades will probably transport to a world of movies on your own once you got it hooked with your iPod, DVD, laptop and more. All you got to do to get this experience, is put on these light-weight goggles along the integrated earphones and plug it into the source of your choice and prepare to be totally blown away by a fully immersive audiovisual assault.

iTheatreHow does it work? It’s twin TFT LCD monitors replicate the effect of watching a massive 50″ screen from a distance of 8.5ft. Apparently it’s got something to do with optical alignment, binocular display and pupil size. All I understood was that the effect is like having a home cinema grafted on to your retinas - amazing isn’t it! And there’s no need to strain because the dual screens makes the eyes to focus at 2.5m.

iTheater’s power supply holds up to 8 hours of juice, so you won’t have to leave your virtual world to search for batteries. It really is the ultimate traveling companion - there’s even a handy USB charger for all you roving laptop lovers. You might end up looking like Geordi La Forge from Star Trek, but who cares, once you’re immersed in your own world and will only have others wondering what you’re smiling at.

WiFi Digital Photo frame

WiFi Digital Photo FrameImagine you’re having a photo frame with either pictures of your relatives or friends that change constantly as soon as the online gallery is updated. Wouldn’t that be cool. Here’s one photo frame that does just that and much more.

This baby displays not only photos, but also videos with sound. Plus it communicates with your online galleries such as Flickr, Webshots via your Wi-Fi connection! It also comes with a smart remote to control its features.

WiFi Digital Photo Frame

Once your done with the setup on its display, you’ll be able to sync it with your photo sharing site. It also includes a card reader, ports to connect to your PC and power supply. Of course all the photos will be displayed on its fantastically engineered 800 x 600 pixel screen. You can also show it off by putting it on your wall. I wonder if they do bigger sizes as well.

T-Equaliser

Image of T-EqualiserLet me tell you what you I thought when I saw this for the first time. I thought it was one of those ironed on picture across the chest. ButT-Equaliser as I read on, it turned out to be it a whacking great graphic equalizer. This particular equalizer is of the electro luminescent variety, and it actually reacts to the music it ‘hears’. A clever little mini battery pack is hidden in a pocket just inside the hem. This powers the gleaming LEDs on the equalizer. The darker the venue and the louder the music, the better.

Well there’s a lot more from where these came from. Do check them out and order if you like here.
