When you hear the word ” Communicator”, I’m almost sure, most of you must have thought of the Nokia Communicator. Launched in late 90’s the communicator was known as a mobile with “do-it-all” features. Today, there are many brands out there claiming their models could do the same. Hmm, wonder what the Nokia E90 has got to offer.
Here’s a host of new features the Nokia E90’s showing off!
- You can now browse the Internet and transfer media-rich files via HSDPA (up to 3.6 Mbit/s enabled) and 3G high-speed mobile broadband.
- Increase mobile productivity with applications for browsing and editing documents
- Keep talking on every continent with quad-band GSM and automatic switching between bands.
- Access voice and data functions quickly and easily with convenient shortcut keys.
- Locate meeting venues, restaurants, and places of interest with the integrated GPS
- Send images captured with the integrated 3.2 megapixel camera with flash and autofocus.
Well it’s got most of the features I would want, but the only thing that kept me from them were their sizes. Years back I carried the Nokia 9100 and was considered carrying a pencil box around. But surprisingly this isn’t that big. It’s slightly bigger than the Nokia 9300i. Dimensions are 132 x 57 x 20 mm
There’s a lot of improvement from its predecessors in terms of reception quality, switching between screens, e.t.c. It’s build quality is better than that of the 9300i and much better battery life.
But I guess the E90 will be appreciated and preferred by those in the business segment and those who are die hard fans of the communicator series. Do check out the complete review of Nokia E90 at mobile review.

sweet..
these communicators are actually really handy if you are reading mails retrieving them from a microsoft exchange server or something like that, the wide format screen is actually a nice to have thing sometimes..
this one seems like the communicator counterpart for the N95.

Hi there,
I just got my E90. I am trying to find out what VOIP provider supports this phone. It seems that most providers have configurations for most Nokia models except the E90. Do you have any suggestions?

Hi erica, we found a VOIP software by the name of Fring and it seems to support your E90. You can get the software here
