Logitech recently announced its Wave keyboard with contoured wave shaped key design. This would already have got you thinking, “hey, that’s the same old Micorsoft’s keyboard thingy”, but no, this better brother does not mandate you to position your hands in weird angles, but instead has subtle changes that indeed make typing more comfortable. And apart from the extremely functional easy access keys, it comes with a nice cushioned, contoured palm rest setting it a class apart from the rest.

Logitech MX Air Mouse

But and then, hey, this really isn’t as exciting as Logitech’s MX Air rechargeable cordless air mouse featured above. Apart from being a laser technology driven precise tracking and responsive input device, in the air, its innovative motion sensors transform your hand motions into cursor controls. Till this day, i would consider cordless mice an overkill for the fact that, functionally they provided nothing more than their corded counterpart, but the MX Air mouse gives you just that extra usability without the need of a flat base pad.

Lomak Head UnitAnd then comes the Lomak (Light Operated Mouse And Keyboard) that allows you to control your computer with the use of a light pointing device mounted on the user’s head or the hand to activate the controls on the Lomak keyboard. Apart from this being a boon to the handicapped, it would enable a more privileged user to operate the computer while using his hands to much on his favourite snack without smearing oil or crumbs on the mouse or keyboard. Now that’s what we would call, using the head!!

If all that hasn’t already got you drooling, then imagine putting your keyboard, your mouse and your display, all into one, and “surface computing” it is. Though its a few years early to expect a commercial product, Microsoft has already previewed what they call Microsoft Surface, and must say, impressive. But what really could be the icing on the pudding would be the “multi-touch functionality” that would involve a sensing technique that would utilize multi-touch input information to interact with object in the display and also literally over it.

Now I could double the Logitech MX Air as a remote to watch movies, flick through pics, sitting far away from the PC/Mac. Hmm, I guess that’s gonna make me super lazy! Well I don’t care..

Hey Kiran, drivers could be an issue with these on your Mac. I still am having a tough time integrating my Z10 interactive speakers with Linux.
But, to make the user more lazy, Logitech also has a universal remote. Check out http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/remotes/universal_remotes/devices/372&cl=us,en
        happy clinking :)
